George Frideric Handel (1685–1759), Minuet from Water Music Suite in D Major 

This piece was commissioned by King George I, who had asked for music to accompany his court's trip on a barge down the Thames River. The resulting work was a collection of three orchestral suites that became collectively known as "Water Music."
