Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791), “Eine kleine Nachtmusik,” K. 525, mvt. 2

Although W. A. Mozart’s 1787 chamber work is very famous today, it was not published until 1827. The title is often translated as “a little night-music,” but a more proper translation is “a little serenade.” The second movement is a “Romanze” in a rondo form (ABACA), from which this excerpt is the refrain.
