Brahms, Piano Quartet in G Minor, op. 25, mvt. 4 (Rondo alla zingarese: Presto)
Scored for violin, viola, cello and piano, this piece was completed in 1861 and was memorably orchestrated by Schoenberg in 1937. This movement's "alla zingarese" marking refers to its Hungarian characteristics. Brahms later composed a set of twenty-one "Hungarian Dances" for which he achieved great renown.
